This Service deploys and configures a full stack monitoring solution enabling the capability of deep data collection. This Service will also enable integration with an ITSM application incident module. 

What you get:

BMC will perform the following:

  • Conduct workshop to explore Netreo's capabilities and ensure readiness for a smooth deployment. 
  • Perform configuration assistance for all Service Engines* , modules and features.
  • Conduct project management, project planning, and milestone tracking.
  • Configure integrated authentication with Active Directory or SAML 2.0
    • If not applicable, configure up to five local users.
  • Configure a one-way event integration with an ITSM application incident module (e.g., BMC Helix ITSM).
  • Configure up to five Event Management rules.
  • Define and deploy up to ten auto configuration rules.
  • Perform device addition(s) by:
    • Importing, subnet scanning, virtualization synchronization, wireless access points through API integrations (Cisco and Aruba), VeloCloud Edge device additions through API VeloCloud controller, and Cloud object additions through API integration with cloud platform(s) (Azure and AWS).
  • Configure up to ten monitoring templates.
    • Type, sub-type, category, sites, standard KPIs (CPU, Memory, Disk, Interface Bandwidth, Interface errors, Host state, Interface state, other services available depending on vendor of managed device)
  • Additional configuration to include:
    • 1 API Integration, Virtualization, 5 WebART and 1 EmailART, Netflow.
    • Syslog, SNMP Trapping with up to 5 logging rules.
    • 1 Maintenance windows, 2 Custom dashboards, 2 Custom & advanced reporting.
    • 5 Custom pollers/device types
  • Configure groupings:
    • Categories, sites, actions (Active response, webhooks), Strategic Groupings (Functional Groupings, Business Workflows.
    • Up to 100 groupings collectively.
  • Prepare Readiness Assessment Document
  • Prepare Construction Document
  • Prepare Test Plan
  • Perform knowledge transfer/walkthrough session (up to two hours) as per Customer environment.
    • Session recording will be shared.

Customer will be responsible for:

  • Validation of Readiness Assessment Document 
  • Providing requirements on event management use cases
  • Provide required access and privileges for event integrations
  • Provide required access and privileges to Incident ticketing system for incident creation
  • Conducting functional testing

Deliverables: Using BMC’s standard methodology and templates, the following Deliverables are in scope for this project and will be delivered:

  • Readiness Assessment Document
  • Construction Document
  • Test Plan

Completion Criteria: BMC will have completed the Service when the in-scope Service have been completed and the Deliverables have been reviewed in accordance with the Terms of Use and delivered to the customer Project Manager. From delivery start date, the service must be consumed and completed within 30 days. Consultant days must be booked in no less than 8-hour increments/full days.

Definitions:

AutoPilot: The Autopilot module for AIOps automatically manages administrative configuration tasks within Netreo.

Country-Specific Staffing: Upon Customer’s request and BMC resource availability, BMC will deviate from BMC’s Standard Delivery model. BMC will work with Customer to understand and address their country-specific staffing requirements. The staffing choice from which country a BMC resource comes from will be mutually agreed to by BMC and Customer.

Service Engine: A service engine is a specialized, lightweight deployment of the Netreo virtual appliance (on its own separate server) that is configured to run only specific Netreo data collection and processing services.
