Agent Installation
The Agent installation installs the Control-M/Agent on a UNIX or Windows host. Multiple Agents enable you to enhance performance through load balancing. For more information, see Host Groups.
Before you install Control-M/Agent, you must verify that you meet the minimum system requirements, as described in the following tables:
To install multiple Agents (including a self-hosted and SaaS Agent) on the same host, you must meet the following requirements:

(UNIX only) Each Agent must be installed on a separate account.

Each Agent must have a unique name.

Each Agent must be version 9.0.21.100 or higher.
To ensure that Java libraries remain up to date, you must install Java externally, as described in Control-M External Java Installation.
To install a self-hosted Agent, you must complete the following procedures, based on the operating system:

If you connect to the Internet via a proxy server, you must verify that the proxy server settings are properly defined, as described in Proxy Server Configuration.

If Application Pack 9.0.21.000 or lower is installed and you want to upgrade to Control-M/Agent 9.0.22, you must upgrade to Application Pack 9.0.21.100 or uninstall Application Pack, and then upgrade the Agent to 9.0.22.
