Business Challenge

Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company, a unit of Lockheed Martin, has orders to produce more than 3,000 F-35 fighter jets, so the company set an aggressive manufacturing goal to build one F-35 every day. IT supports that goal by keeping critical engineering and manufacturing applications running at peak performance, fast-tracking problem diagnosis, and minimizing downtime by providing data on 1,500 applications and their underlying infrastructure.

BMC Solution

IT is integrating BMC Atrium Configuration Management Database, BMC Discovery, and TrueSight Operations Management (formerly ProactiveNet) with its current business service management solutions, which already include Remedy IT Service Management Suite and BladeLogic Server Automation. With full visibility into applications, infrastructure, and their dependencies, troubleshooting is faster, application management is simpler, and automated performance monitoring is becoming a reality.
